How It Works & Commitment
Throughout the 12-month program (September–September), fellows engage in educational workshops, weekend retreats, international experiences, and hands-on community service projects.
Participants will:
- Attend monthly workshops focused on leadership, Jewish identity, pluralism, Israel, Jewish peoplehood, and tikkun olam (repairing the world).
- Take part in three Shabbaton retreats to strengthen their Jewish identity and bond as a cohort.
- Build deep connections with Israeli peers through two immersive experiences:
- Jewish Communities Mifgash: A 10-day hosting experience in the spring, where fellows welcome a Rishon LeZion partner.
- Israel Summer Seminar: A three-week journey in Israel, traveling, volunteering, and exploring with Israeli and international Diller cohorts.
- Create and implement a personal, hands-on social action project to make a lasting impact in their community.
Location: Workshops and retreats will take place in Greater MetroWest NJ.
Program Duration: September–September
Program Cost: $4,000 per fellow (includes a $10,000 subsidy from the Helen Diller Family Foundation and Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ). A $500 deposit is required. Grants and need-based financial aid are available.
