Support for Schools and Camps

Early Childhood, Congregational, and Day Schools

Many schools and congregations in Greater MetroWest offer school services for children with diverse learning needs. Please contact each individual early childhood center, congregational school, or day school directly to find out more about their particular services. Click here for schools in our community.

Consultative Services

Greater MetroWest ABLE consults with local early childhood, congregational, and day schools to support diverse learners and their teaching teams. This resource is designed to support our educators with classroom strategies and approaches to support their diverse learners.

Greater MetroWest Madrichim Teen Advocate Training Program

Greater MetroWest ABLE trains and mentors a selected group of high school students with the goal of fostering inclusive environments for youth with disabilities and learning differences in our Greater MetroWest area synagogues, recreational programs and camps. This yearlong series includes workshops, hands on experiences, working in programs in their home congregations, and the opportunity to reflect with one another about their experiences.  This program helps to create opportunities for all individuals to participate meaningfully in Jewish experiences.

Jewish Camps

Jewish summer camp is the perfect opportunity to socialize with peers and become immersed in an environment filled with Jewish identity and culture. Jewish camp enables campers to explore their Judaism in new and different ways in the beautiful outdoors. There are many camp options for children with disabilities, day camps and overnight camps, inclusive programs to self-contained programs within broader camps, as well as camps specifically for children with disabilities.  For more information on camps for children with disabilities, please visit the One Happy Camper NJ Guide to Finding the Right Jewish Camp for Your Child with Disabilities.
